During my morning sip, I was reading a Norwegian study that coffee is good for you. The warm creamy goodness in my mug cofirms that. But it got me to thinking about all the news I've read lateley. Like how my beloved Tabasco kills prostate cancer. And how Red wine also helps prevent prostate cancer and helps combat deafness. We've also been treated to studies that show that Beer and Pizza could help prevent Cancer, and that mild alcohol intake can significantly reduce the risk for heart disease in men and is associated with better mental function in older women.
But, back to my "Comfort in a Cup". It turns out that Coffee will counteract all that Beer, Wine, and Pizza by cuting alcohol liver damage and being good for my heart. I was also shocked to learn that it can even shield from me from radiation. Forget SDI, I propose the Coffee Defense Initiative!
I always fancied myself as being somewhat open-minded, but it turns out that may just be the Coffee. I'd better be careful with my coffee when telemarketers call since apparently coffee makes you more easily persuaded.
The biggest surprise was that caffeine may boost the female sex drive. Hmmm. Really. And you say coffee makes us more likely to say 'yes'? Hmmmmmm. I gotta go now, and make my wife the perfect cafe au lait.

What a shameful way to end a brilliant career. Domenech was right to make him sit in the locker for the medal ceremony.

Italy wins it in Penalty Kicks. The last time they were in the Final, 1994, they lost it on PK to Brasil.
Almost Ironic.

From Slashdot:
President Bush has issued an executive order whose effect is to undo the previous Kelo decision of the Supreme Court. From the article: 'It is the policy of the United States to protect the rights of Americans to their private property, including by limiting the taking of private property by the Federal Government to situations in which the taking is for public use, with just compensation, and for the purpose of benefiting the general public and not merely for the purpose of advancing the economic interest of private parties to be given ownership or use of the property taken.' The downside is that what was once affirmed consitutionally is now affirmed only in federal law."
I'm glad I voted for that guy.

If Ghana's forwards had been a little more accurate, they might have one -- score not withstanding. If my networks were as porous as Brasil's defense, I'd be laying bricks right now.
